ABOUT GRAMIX
GRAMIX is a material created by mixing a patented foamed natural rubber with agricultural by-products.
The grape skins left after winemaking, rice husks from harvest, coffee grounds, sugarcane, mango peel…
The natural rubber acts as a binder, which is what makes this possible. Standard petroleum-based foams like EVA don't bond well with plant matter, like oil and water. Natural rubber does.
The result gives: lightweight, good grip, real bounce. And each ingredient brings its own colour, texture, and character to the material. Nothing is hidden. That's what makes it interesting.
Developed in Japan. Backed by over 20 years of R&D. Patented in more than 25 countries.

FOR FOOD & AGRICULTURE
You grow grapes. You brew beer. You harvest sugarcane or process coffee or peel mangoes at scale. And at the end of all that, there's waste: husks, skins, seeds, fibres…
We'd like to talk about what we can make with it.
We're already working with producers across Japan and Asia to develop new GRAMIX blends using local by-products. If you have a material and you're curious what it could become please reach out.
Currently exploring: cabbage, hop, agave, grape pomace, rice and more.

FOR FOOTWEAR BRANDS & MAKERS
You're looking for materials with a story. Something distinctive that your customers can see, feel, and understand without a lecture.
GRAMIX works as a sole material: midsole, outsole, insole. We're open to contract manufacturing, material supply, and co-development. We can work with your brief or start from scratch.
We don't need to put our name everywhere. But we think the material deserves to be talked about.
